5 Tips to Detoxing FAST

I just did another round of my FAVORITE detox and lost 4.6 pounds and 3 inches around my stomach in ONLY five days! And perhaps the most exciting part is that my sugar cravings were subsided, I had more energy, and I felt better overall! It wasn’t just about the scale, it was about how I felt on the inside, and felt about myself. I felt more confident, I felt more beautiful, I felt like I wasn’t blah, because I was nourishing my body, not putting junky foods in my body. I felt beautiful, and the weight loss was really great too!

So now I’m so excited to share with you my top three secrets to effective detoxing!

My first tip is to eat 3 cups of leafy vegetables, 3 cups of sulfuric-rich vegetables, and 3 cups of colorful fruits and vegetables each day

Leafy veggies are items like

  • Spinach
  • Kale
  • Parsley
  • Collard greens
  • Beet greens

Some sulfer-rich vegetables are

  • Asparagus
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Onions
  • Mushrooms

Colorful fruits and vegetables are

  • Oranges
  • Plums
  • Dates
  • Grapefruit
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Cherries
  • Grapes
  • Strawberries
  • Raspberries
  • Blackberries
  • Blueberries

These foods provide your body a lot of vital nutrients, with few calories. This is crucial in detoxing your body without depleting your body of nutrition or energy.

My second tip is don’t skip fats and oils! Too many people are afraid of fats and oils, but here’s the thing: your body burns what you eat, so if you eat healthy fats, it burns fat. Your body needs healthy fat to help it function, but not transfats and saturated fats, which are the fats that will cause you to get fat. By eating healthy fats like

  • Olive oil
  • Coconut oil
  • Hemp seeds
  • Avocados,

your body will actually be satisfied while detoxing. You won’t feel starved at all!

My final tip is to eat enough lean protein. Too often when detoxing people prefer to eat only fruits and vegetables. That hardly does anything for your muscles and skin cells that are regenerating. You need to add in enough lean protein to help your body detox and regenerate cells. So here’s the formula to calculate how much protein you need for your body weight.

Take your weight and multiply it by 12

Then multiply that number by .35

Take the number and divide it by 4

And that’s how many grams of protein you should each each day

I’ve calculated it here for the weight of a 133 pound female

133 times 12 = 1596

Take 1596 and multiply it by .35, which equals 558.6

Take 558.6 and divide it by 4 and we get 140 grams of protein. that’s how many grams of protein a 133 pound female should eat each day

So this 133 pound female should eat at least 140 grams of protein every day, whether or not she’s detoxing. So just because you’re detoxing doesn’t mean you should cut back or eliminate protein. Your body still needs protein to regenerate and replenish your muscles and cells. DO NOT ELIMINATE PROTEIN.
